What does Theresa's Hand do?
We assist Nigerians in planning their medical travel. Primarily, we do this by coordinating with our hospital partner to provide you with a medical procedure quote and your patient invitation letter for medical visa purposes.

Yes, it is. Since we receive payment as a representative, there's no charge to you for our services. 100% free!

Can I know the doctors’ credentials?
Yes, we provide you with the doctor’s credentials.
Do I need to tell my doctor?
You are not obliged to tell your doctor at home. However, we recommend that you discuss your thoughts about having a medical procedure abroad with your general practitioner.

Do the doctors in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and India and the medical staff speak English?
Yes, they do.

Where do I stay?
The UK, the UAE and India are major tourism hot spots and Saudi Arabia is an international pilgrimage destination so there is a vast array of hotels and temporary accommodation to choose from, which are within a distance from the medical facilities.

Does Theresa’s Hand give healthcare advice?
We don’t give any medical advice. Your primary care physician or the physician you choose from our network can do it.

What happens if I need a follow-up?
Follow-up, if needed, can be done by the treating doctor via telemedicine if you so wish or a doctor of your liking in Nigeria. We suggest that any follow-up, if needed, be arranged prior to your trip abroad.

What Does Theresa’s Hand charge?
Based on your medical condition, we provide you a free cost estimate directly from our hospital network. We do not mark up the treatment plan cost. Our services are 100% free!

Why can't I go directly to the hospital without the need to go through Theresa's Hand?
Yes, you can. However, there are benefits to using our services. We can help you to know your needs. The experience through Theresa's Hand is more personalised and focused and we work directly with the medical facilities to help ensure a smooth process towards your medical procedure date. Always remember, UKC Health are official agents for our healthcare provider partners and our service is 100% free so take advantage!

What do you do with my information?
We pass your information to the healthcare provider of your choice for their assessment. You can read more in our privacy policy.

What if something goes wrong?
The medical facilities take great care to delivery high-quality and safe treatment. At the same time any surgery or medical procedure comes with risk and successful results cannot be guaranteed by anyone.

Does Theresa's Hand accept payment?
No, we don't. All forms of payment are made directly to the medical facility that will carry out your procedure.

Can I have more than one medical procedure at the same time?
Yes, it may be possible. However, this will, depend on the doctor’s assessment of your case and it may be more cost beneficial.

What if I can’t find the procedure I’m interested in on your website?
Send us a query on what you are looking for and we can provide you the information you need, if available or request it from our healthcare provider partners.

Will I need any travel documents?
Yes, depending on your country of origin and/or citizenship and country of destination, you will need a valid passport and/or visa. We can advise you on this.

Do I need to get inoculated?
Although you are not required, it is recommended that you do get immunised prior to your medical trip. This is different for each country.

What does the treatment package include?
In most cases, the treatment package includes the following. However, please refer to the quote provided to you for up-to-date information.

Surgeon and Anaesthetist fees in relation with the operation

Operation theatre fees and medical and surgical appliances costs in relation with the operation

Nursing care, diagnostic and therapeutic services costs during in-patient stay at the hospital in relation with the operation

In-patient drugs and dressing, implants

In-patient accommodation and meals
What does the cost for treatment exclude?

Any drugs prescribed following patient’s discharge from the hospital

Any care or service relating to any complications that may arise, which is not related to the patient’s treatment plan (additional costs will be charged to patient in accordance with the hospital’s standard charges prevailing at the time of the complication)

Any service or care relating to major complications that may arise during the patient’s operation, which necessitates patient’s transfer into an internal or external specialized intensive care unit. Additional costs relating to the said major complication treatment will be charged to the patient in accordance with the standard charges prevailing at the time of the complication

Any in-patient stay extension in the hospital, with regard to the initial length of hospitalization, in relation to the patient’s surgical treatment and decided upon due to medical reasons, by the patient and the surgeon. In such an event, costs relating to the in-patient stay extension will be charged to the patient and paid by the patient immediately to the hospital
